C/PEG FEATURES TOUR

ANSI C and Primitive/Object

C/PEG is written completely in portable ANSI C. This means the library is supported on nearly every piece of embedded hardware on the market today that is able to support graphics output. This also means any developer with even moderate C programming experience can be up and running with the C/PEG library in a very short time. C/PEG is driven by an event paradigm which is familiar to developers with past GUI experience. The layout of the library, with its easy to follow parent/child relationship architecture and simple switch-case constructs, is easily mastered by most developers after working through only a few simple examples.

The C/PEG library ships with nearly twenty examples which clearly demonstrate one or two basic principles of working with the programming interface. Along with the extensive documentation, developers are able to gain enough knowledge of the API to become proficient on their first day, and a master within a week.

Not only does the library offer advanced primitive drawing capabilities for lines, bitmaps and text, there is also a complete library of higher level widgets such as various button types and lists. All of these widgets are easily extendable by the system developer to provide a unique look and feel for the application that effectively differentiates your product from your competitors. Even with limited system resources, C/PEG is able to deliver a full application environment suitable to any embedded product.
