
SCIOPTA is a Real-Time Operating System for embedded systems for high demands on real-time performance. SCIOPTA is available for many target platforms from different chip manufacturers and is highly optimized for the particular microprocessor and reaches, therefore, a very high performance. For most of the supported microprocessors the SCIOPTA kernel is entirely written in assembler language.
In addition to the SCIOPTA kernel there are additional components (network protocols, file systems, USB etc.) available. These products are specifically developed to meet the requirements of modern embedded systems.
SCIOPTA is a message-based real-time operating system and, therefore, very well suited also for distributed multi-CPU systems which are directly supported in SCIOPTA by the CONNECTOR product. For debugging, testing and analyzing SCIOPTA systems, there is the DRUID debugger available which is an efficient and fast complementary tool to the preferred source-level debugger.
