Port Huron, MI – December 27, 2005 - Swell Software, Inc., a world leader in providing innovative GUI solutions for embedded systems, announced today an integration package and driver set for Freescale DragonFire MCF532x microprocessor with the Coldfire V3 processor core.
The MCF532x family integrates a high performance Coldfire V3 processor core with a rich set of connectivity peripherals focused on industrial control and consumer networking. The DragonFire die was designed on the same platform as the MCF5208 “Mini-Me” device. New features include an integrated LCD Controller, the USB host, and the USB on-the-go modules which are brand new peripherals to the 68K/ColdFire family. This will provide embedded developers in the industrial control (including Medical Instrumentation, Fire/Security, Point of Sale, VoIP, Factory Service and Maintenance Systems), and consumer networking industries the right tools for their application development. A sample Demo can be downloaded from our website under the Supported Hardware section. The demo can be set up to run on 640 X 480 LCD. Evaluation boards are available through Logic PD with a demo CD included.
