Port Huron, MI – July 13, 2006 - Swell Software, Inc., a world leader in providing innovative GUI solutions for embedded systems, announced today an integration package and driver set for Atmel's AT91SAM9261 Smart ARM Microcontroller (SAM9), based on the ARM926EJ-S processor.
Products recently introduced and in development enlarge the scope of application of Atmel's Smart ARM MCU's. Targeted at low power, high throughput wireless handheld applications, such as wireless PoS devices, the AT91SAM9261 consumes only 2.5 μA in standby mode. The AT91SAM9261 has a built in LCD controller that supports STN and TFT displays, and resolution up to 2048 x 2048. It also has a clock speed of 190 Mhz, 160K of SRAM and 32K of Boot ROM.
