Swell Software, Inc. Integrates PEG+ GUI Development tools with µC/OS-II

Port Huron, MI – September 30, 2004 – Swell Software, Inc., a world leader in providing innovative GUI solutions for embedded systems, has announced today the availability of PEG+ graphical user interface (GUI) development tools fully integrated with µC/OS-II.

PEG+ is a completely portable, ROMable software library enabling a graphical interface to run on a huge variety of embedded targets. Make files and/or IDE dependent project files are included with each PEG+ delivery allowing the developer to easily compile the PEG+ libraries using the chosen tools. C/PEG is a complete graphics solution for embedded developers written entirely in ANSI C for resource-constrained embedded systems. C/PEG not only provides optimized graphics primitives, text and bitmap drawing; it also supports higher level graphic objects to give the developer a full tool set for rapid application development.

µC/OS-II, The Real-Time Kernel is a highly portable, ROMable, very scalable, preemptive real-time, multitasking kernel (RTOS) for microprocessors and microcontrollers. µC/OS-II can manage up to 63 application tasks. Written in ANSI C for maximum portability, µC/OS-II has been ported to more than 40 different processor architectures ranging from 8- to 64-bit CPUs. µC/OS-II is certified for use in safety-critical systems including avionics, transportation and nuclear systems. It is immediately certifiable for the highest criticality systems, including DO-178B Level A, Class III medical devices, and SIL3/SIL4 IEC-certified systems.
